It was our great pleasure to have the good fortune of working with Liz on
the sale of our Mother's house in Southern California after she passed
away. It was not easy for us as it was the home we grew up in and
difficult to let go of. Liz's patient and kind manner made an emotional
situation a much easier transition for us.

My mother in law passed away and left her house to my wife and her
sister in Southern California. We live in Boston and the sister lives
in Northen California. It was going to be a big problem to get this
house in shape to sell. My mother-in-law was a pack rat and has
storage bins and boxes all over the property. I asked Liz Mathis if
she could get an appraisal on the property and help us sell the home.
The very next day Liz was at the property not only directing us on
what needed to be done, but doing most of the coordinating of the
clean up, and the staging of the house, and arranging the showing of
the property and handling the negotiations. Within two months we
closed at a higher amount than the house was appraised at. We were
amazed. We could not have made a better choice than Liz as our
realtor.

After meeting Susan during the rental process a couple years ago, we decided it was time to look for a home to purchase. We were surprised at what an education it was to learn about the distinct differences in location, selection process and ultimately closing on the right property for us. I am a seasoned real estate professional but not in selling real estate but have bought and sold homes using a realtor on at least 10 occassions. I want to share my experiences in selling and buying my new home with my two teamed Realtors Liz Mathis and Susan Murtagh at Prudential California Realty in Pasadena.
First I want to share that my experience with these two professionals Liz and Susan was superior, absolutely awesome, and so very easy. Both my transactions were very complicated, selling my home to people who were in Hong Kong and buying a home from a woman moving out of state. Communication was the key factor in making sure everything went perfect which it all did but only because Liz and Susan were so persistent, guided me, always did their homework and got me the answers I needed to make well informed decisions. I can not tell you how many times I had questions, concerns, or doubts and how both Liz and Susan were always there to suggest, resolve and fix anything that came up with such professionalism. I knew when I went to sleep at night, in the morning when I woke up everything would be just perfect because Liz and Susan took care of everything.
I sold my house before I purchased a new one, Liz and Susan made sure that I was able to rent back my current place until I was able to move to my new home. They made sure that I was always aware of all new properties that were for sale in my price range and the cities I was considering. They were always available to take me out to view these properties without hesitation. We all have some kind of job which we probably only do certain hours of the day but these two individuals worked so hard I thought they worked while I slept.
The reason for this message is to let you know that in all my real estate transactions I have never had two individuals as Liz and Susan work so hard for my daughter and I, become such good friends, trust and respect their guidance, inspiration, knowlegde,and sincere kindness. I'm so glad to have met Susan, who was with me every step of the way in my first home purchase. I felt I was in good hands with Susan, who demonstrated professionalism, accuracy, patience and persistence in what can be an emotional roller-coaster of finding suitable homes, making purchase offers and getting offers accepted. Unlike with past agents whom I've had experience with, I felt that Susan was not just in it for a quick transaction, but she was intent on helping me find a home that met my criteria and where I could be satisfied and pleased living. We were actively looking on the market for more than a year together, and many times I thought she would give up on me, but she didn't, and finally, we succeeded. We had a great home buying experience with Susan. We had spoken with a number of real estate agents about finding us a home. After a few weeks of looking in earnest, we bumped into Susan at an open house. She happened to be covering for the listing agent that day only. After telling her what we were looking for we exchanged contact info and left. Later that afternoon she called us back with details on that same property. We had more questions, so she went back to work and called us the next day with more answers. The place didn't work out, but she was genuine and persistent. Susan was the best of the agents we'd seen, so we stuck with her. Our journey took us through eight cities, from Duarte to Porter Ranch. She scheduled the showings around us: on the weekend, lunchtime during the week, whenever. She was organized and kept things on track. She also emailed us listings that matched our needs. We saw about 30 homes. We finally settled on a fantastic place and made our offer. Though it was a foreclosure, Susan helped negotiate improvements to the property as part of the deal (try and get that from a bank).
Overall, she gets a 10! We got a great new home and friend. She came to our son's birthday party, and we still talk from time to time. Thanks again, Susan.

As first time home buyers Jeff and I were a little uncertain about the whole process, including exactly what we were looking for. Susan listened to everything we said and worked tirelessly to find us something that was absolutely perfect, and then she worked HARDER. Jeff and I both have jobs that have long hours and that made getting to offices to sign paperwork pretty much impossible. Without Susan's help in making sure the paperwork all came to us, was explained and signed in the correct places, everything would have fallen apart. Who would have thought that such a helpful, accommodating, and totally nice person would be such a tiger in negotiations? But she was! We got a great deal, Susan fought for us, got things mended in our new home before we moved in, and because of our work pressures she made sure everything was being taken care of. We were please with the professionalism and service we received from Susan when she listed the sale of a home for us. It had been 20+ years since we’ve sold a home, so many things had changed. The appropriate research on neighborhood comparables had been done and presented to us so that a reasonable selling price could be agreed upon.
Each step of the sale was personally overseen by Susan; from the City occupancy inspection and completion report; multiple listing caravan preparation and exhibit; open houses and included a meeting with surveyor regarding legal property boundary lines.
